VMKC48015 Dassault Mirage 5SDE “Horus” Upgrade Conversion Set 1/48

This conversion set represents the Egyptian Air Force Mirage 5SDE aircraft upgraded under the “Horus” modernization program. Originally delivered in the 1970s as part of Egypt’s Mirage fleet, the type was later extensively modernized with advanced avionics, navigation, and electronic warfare systems to extend its service life and improve strike capability. The upgrade introduced modern navigation and attack equipment including a SAGEM avionics suite, GPS/gyro navigation, digital map generation, a smart HUD display, IRIS FLIR sensor, and updated radar warning and countermeasure systems, significantly enhancing operational performance.
This set includes cast resin parts for the nose section, IRIS laser rangefinder, dorsal and ventral antennas, front fuselage air intake, tail RWR (front and rear), and MOHAFIZ countermeasure system for the right rear fuselage, as well as 3D-printed parts for the instrument panel. Designed for accurate conversion of 1/48 scale Mirage III/5 kits into the Mirage 5SDE “Horus” configuration.
