The JAS 39 Gripen, a 4th generation Fighter, Attack and Reconnaissance "swing-role" supersonic aircraft, was designed in the early 1980s to meet the Swedish requirements for a lightweight air superiority combat jet, using advanced technology, modern materials and digital systems. A total of 204 Gripens, including 28 two-seaters, were ordered for the Swedish Air Force, while later production was increased as the type entered service with other countries around the world - South Africa, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Thailand.
The publication has 28 pages, including a total of 49 overall and detailed photographs, 12 pages with colour camouflage schemes and their description. Text in English. A comprehensive decal sheet is added for modellers' convenience.
Three variants of this title are available, one including 1/48th scale decal sheet (MKD48012; 1x 200x200 mm sheets), one 1/72nd scale decals (MKD72012; 1x 200x110 mm sheet) and another with 1/144th transfers (MKD144012; 1x 100x100 mm sheet). Following aircraft are depicted on each decal sheet: Swedish Air Force (5x), Czech Air Force (3x), Hungarian Air Force (2x), South African Air Force (1x) and Royal Thai Air Force (1x).
