A Heartfelt Experience at the 2025 IPMS/USA National Convention in Hampton, Virginia

Attending the recent IPMS/USA artistic show in Hampton was a truly uplifting experience, one that left me inspired and deeply appreciative of the power of creativity. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere radiated warmth and excitement. Guests gathered with eager smiles, ready to immerse themselves in an evening that promised artistry, talent, and joy.

Every year the performances and displays exceeded every expectation. Each modeler artist brought something unique to the contest table, whether through movement, design, or visual storytelling. Every piece carried its own voice, offering a glimpse into the imagination and passion of its creator. It was more than entertainment, it was a reminder of how art can move us, connect us, and leave a lasting impression.

What struck me most was the harmony between the modelers/artists, vendors, and the audience. The vendors in particular added a special layer to the experience. Their booths and tables overflowed with handcrafted items, unique designs, and artistic expressions that complemented the performances on the tables. Many of them greeted visitors with wide smiles, clearly proud to share their work with an appreciative crowd. Their happiness was contagious, as they spoke with genuine enthusiasm about their craft and the stories behind their creations.

The vendors’ presence transformed the event into more than just a show; it brought the community together. Guests not only enjoyed what unfolded on stage but also discovered new talents while engaging in conversations with creators who poured their hearts into their work. This exchange of appreciation and joy created a lively atmosphere, where art was not only observed but also experienced through personal connections.

As the evening unfolded, it became clear that the true beauty of the show lay in its collective spirit. Smiles, applause, laughter, and meaningful conversations flowed naturally united modelers, vendors and guests alike.

Leaving the event, I felt a genuine sense of joy. It was more than a showcase, it was a reminder that modeling art, in all its forms, has the power to inspire and bring people together. The artistic show succeeded not only in presenting remarkable talent but also in creating a shared experience filled with warmth, creativity, and happiness. For anyone seeking an event that blends beauty, imagination, and community, attending an artistic show like this is truly worthwhile.

I truly look forward to the chance to experience this joy again, and I hope we can all meet once more at next year’s IPMS Indiana Convention 2026.
