This saw is awesome. I've used it to cut resin pour blocks and I've recently used it on two different Trumpeter kits; I took the rear off the F4U-4 Engine (after assembly) without damaging the front part of the completed engine. It didn't take much pressure to cut through the plastic. I also trimmed a section off the new A-4 Skyhawk kit's engine, same great result. It's so much easier and neater than attacking with a dremel tool and less worry over ruining a part. I wish I'd had the saw when I cut apart the Revell 767-300 to shorten it. Excellent tool, John; I highly recommend it to all modelers.
I bought this saw many years ago, and I am still using the same blade. This week, I have used it to cut some (40 pieces) 1/32" brass tubing w/ a .014" bore to make working brass hinges in HO scale for my engine and car shop. The saw worked flawlessly. I used the finer (about 96 teeth per inch) to make the cuts. The miter box that came with my set was used to cut them to 1/16" long. I could not have used anything else to get the same results. I love it. Although the blade is still good after all that, and I can still use it for wood and styrene, I may swap it out sometime, just to have a fresh blade, but I'll keep it in for now. I only needed three swipes of the blade to cut through the tubing.
I've just had the chance to use this tool after purchasing it a short while ago, and am thoroughly impressed with it and its abilities. Beautiful, fine cuts with no effort, and thoroughly controllable. I recommend it highly, and look forward to using it for a long time to come. Many thanks!
