DMB01 "Sniper" British 1st Parachute Regiment - Arnhem, Holland September , 1944 1/35 scale

This 1/35 scale diorama was created by the master modeler, Dan Capuano, the Picasso of military miniatures. Capuano’s creations always tells a story. In this setting, that is titled “Sniper” depicts the British Red Devil paras in the rubble of Arnhem. The scene shows the Red Devils trying to advance and move one of their wounded comrades by way of a British airborne Jeep.
As the jeep tries to position itself by reversing towards the trolley, the driver is suddenly hit by sniper fire. The rest of the troops are now caught in the open, some crouching to avoid another shot. Created in 2010, the buildings, jeep, trolley, and about 80% of the figures have all been modified to some extent by the artist. Every time I view the diorama, I will notice a detail that I had not seen before. Capuano is a master in detailing a scene. Please view the enclosed photos. The diorama is colorful, dramatic, and extremely accurate in depicting the British Red Devil’s uniforms and armament. The diorama is enclosed in a quality acrylic case whose dimensions are 25” x 20” x 31.5”. The weight including case exceeds 45 pounds. Shipping is not possible; local pickup is preferred.
